To enrich the spark of community in Charlotte, NC. Specifically impacting youth, businesses and residents towards helping our community, interacting and enjoying coming together. Youths will be served through a youth empowerment campaign that will occur all weekend long and the ability to volunteer at events giving them much needed exposure to practical application of skills and positive images in the community. Businesses will be served through their ability to represent and promote their respective brands and interaction with their local communities. Residents will be served through access to free health and living resources, events designed to uplift spirits and create positive enthusiasm.
Empowering Lifestyles Weekend (ELW) is the collective vision of Power In One (PIO) Fashion Boutique, Fit Bye Pharr Fitness Studio and I Can, We Will. This year we also welcome Healthy Phit Physical Therapy & Wellness Consultants and Community Fitness Solutions on-board as presenting sponsors of ELW 2017. Our desire is to build knowledge and recognition of our brands while uplifting the community, the people and the surrounding businesses along the way. ELW 2017 will serve as the flagship to an annual event consisting of a Health and Fitness Expo, 5K Race/Walk, All White Attire Gala on the Lake, and a Community Brunch & Local Artist Showcase. These events will take place in Charlotte, NC over a three day time period. ELW 2017 will be the 6th consecutive year of this impactful, empowering weekend.

o Goal of $5,000 donated to local non-profits: I Can, We Will, The Youth Education Society of Charlotte, and The Charlotte Youth Sports & Cultural Mentoring Program.
o Over 300 Charlotte-Metro residents interacting and positively affecting their community at one given time.
o 10+ local businesses interacting directly with the communities that they serve.
o Massive youth exposure to businesses, entrepreneurial undertakings, community development, event planning/execution and countless tangible life skills.
o Collection of at least 200 book bags for I Can, We Will’s Man Bag Project: Book bags and toiletries are distributed to homeless men via local men’s shelters located in the
Greater Charlotte community.
o Residents of the Greater Charlotte community exposed to numerous health and fitness opportunities.
o Generation of funds to help build a local community garden developed by The Cultural Giving Tree for Early Learning.
